Business Homes snap up plot at Cardonald Business Park
Business Homes one of the leading developers of small business parks in the UK has acquired a 1.7-acre development site on the landmark Cardonald Business Park in an off-market deal brokered by DTZ.
Leeds-based Business Homes now plans to build six office pavilions, ranging in size from 3,043 sq ft to 6,168 sq ft, with 86 car parking spaces.
This deal comes on the back of the successful scheme Business Homes had at Glasgow Airport Business Park where all units were either sold or pre-let before the development was completed.
DTZ's Paul Broad, who advised the purchaser, said: "Business Homes felt there was strong demand for another similar development in Glasgow.
"We approached the owners of this prominent site at Cardonald Business Park, which benefits from excellent transport given its proximity to the M8 and Glasgow Airport, and concluded the deal off market in a short space of time.
"We believe this is a great opportunity for Business Homes to develop another successful scheme on the same model as Glasgow Airport Business Park."
The site was purchased from Shepherd Developments, a Leeds based developer.
Business Homes currently has six other business park developments north of the Border in Aberdeen, Dunfermline, East Kilbride, Livingston and close to Edinburgh.
DTZ and Ryden will be retained as joint letting agents.
